If you want to return or exchange an item that you have bought online from The Dog Musthaves. Read the information about this in the questions below. If you meet the questions, follow the step-by-step plan.

What conditions must my return meet?

If you would like to return or exchange an item purchased online from The Dog Musthaves, please complete the return form to return or exchange your item *.

We ask for your understanding that we can only accept returns that are returned to your door within 14 days of arrival and items that are unused, in perfect condition and with original tags.

* Because many of The Dog Musthaves’ products are personalized, we do not offer returns for custom items. This includes an engraved dog tag on your dog collar *. We do not accept returns of a custom-made product, collars with an engraved buckle or the tags attached to your dog’s collar.

Please note that we strictly do not refund or exchange engraved or custom products unless the item is defective.

The following applies to all our dog collars with add on dog tags:

If you want to return your dog collar, you must remove the chosen dog tag. Send the dog collar (or complete set) back to us without the dog tag. Please note that you will pay the full amount of the dog tag (depending on which one you choose: 15 EUR for the dog tag with our engraved dog on the front and 19 EUR for the dog tag with brilliant). If you accidentally send the tag along, we will still charge the amount and destroy the tag.

If you want to exchange to a different size. Please place a new order.

Can I return custom made product?

Because many of The Dog Musthaves’ products are personalized, we do not offer returns for custom items. This includes an engraved dog tag on your dog collar *. We do not accept returns of a custom-made product, collars with an engraved buckle or the dog tags attached to your dog’s collar.

Please note that we strictly do not refund or exchange engraved or custom products unless the item is defective.

Can I exchange custom made product?

Please note that we will not refund products with an engraved dog tag, engraved buckle or any product made especially for you unless the item is defective.

If you want to return your leather dog collar, you must remove the chosen dog tag. Send the dog collar (or set) back to us without the dog tag. Please note that you will pay the full amount of the dog tag (depending on which one you choose: 15 EUR for the dog tag with our engraved dog on the front and 19 EUR for the dog tag with brilliant). If you accidentally send the tag along, we will still charge the amount and destroy the tag.

If you want to exchange to a different size. Please place a new order. The engraved dog tag will still be charged.

How do I get my money back?

The refund depends on the payment method you chose when placing your order.

You will receive the refund in the same bank account as the bank account with which you paid for your order. The amount will be refunded to your account within five working days *. If you paid with Klarna, you will receive an invoice within 24 hours of receiving a confirmation. Have you already paid your invoice? Then you will receive a refund on your account on behalf of Klarna within 5 working days.

* Unless The Dog Musthaves is temporarily absent due to vacation. These dates are always mentioned on the website.

What if my order is incomplete or damaged?

It is of course possible that a mistake has been made or that something has happened to your package along the way. In that case we want to help you as soon as possible. Please contact us by e-mail for this. To resolve your complaint as quickly as possible, we ask you to provide the following information:

  • your order number
  • photos of the packaging
  • photos of the defective product
  • clear description of the complaint
What do you do to deliver as sustainably as possible?

By keeping our parcels as small as possible and planning our rides efficiently, we do our utmost to keep our CO2 emissions as low as possible. But by ordering something more consciously, you can also do a lot yourself. In fact, it’s about getting parcel deliverers to drive as efficiently as possible. How do you do that?  

1. We combine the whole order. Have you ordered multiple items and one or more of these items is not yet in stock. Then we combine the entire shipment.   Then the parcel deliverer only has to drive once.

2. Returning an order is at the buyer’s expense. We want to keep CO2 emissions as low as possible and we think about the environment. Delivery of the order in the Netherlands is free. Exchanging an item is no problem, you pay for both the outward and return shipping (see tab “Returns”).

As soon as your returns have arrived at our warehouse, you will receive a confirmation by mail. Depending on your payment method for your order the refund may take up to 5 days.
